Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ledger, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of Ledger after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Description of Service

Ledger is a business management platform for contractors that provides AI-powered estimate generation, invoicing, receipt scanning, project tracking, crew management, and integrations with accounting software. The service is provided on an “as-is” basis during the beta period.

User Accounts & Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with unauthorized parties
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Use the service only for lawful business purposes

Ledger SMS Messaging Program

Program Name: Ledger Notifications

Program Description: When you opt in to Ledger’s SMS messaging program, you consent to receive text messages related to your use of the Ledger platform. These messages may include estimate status updates, project notifications, estimate approvals, invoice alerts, crew communications, and account security notifications.

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You may receive messages when estimates are sent, approved, or modified; when project milestones are reached; when invoices require attention; or for account security purposes. On average, users receive between 2–15 messages per month depending on activity level.

Message & Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier will apply to all SMS messages sent and received. Ledger does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.

Opt-Out Instructions: You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. Text STOP to any message you receive from Ledger to immediately unsubscribe from all SMS notifications. After texting STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from Ledger unless you re-subscribe.

Consent: By opting in to SMS notifications, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Ledger at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the Ledger platform. You may use all Ledger features without opting in to SMS.

Privacy: Your phone number and SMS data are kept confidential. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Supported Carriers: Major US carriers are supported including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

AI-Generated Content

Ledger uses artificial intelligence to generate estimates, categorize receipts, and assist with other tasks. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and professional aid—not as a guarantee of accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing, adjusting, and approving all estimates and outputs before sending them to clients. Ledger is not liable for business decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to Ledger, including estimates, invoices, project data, and receipts. Ledger retains ownership of the platform, its design, code, and AI models. We do not claim ownership of your business data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ledger and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or engage in activity that harms other users or the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases, and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period unless you request an export.
